EQUATE Petrochemical Company’s Vice President for Technical services Mahmoud Al-Qattan said that based on the past three years, national workforce at EQUATE has reached an overall average of over 55%.

During EQUATE’s sponsorship of the 12th Career Fair organized by Kuwait University’s Faculty of Engineering & Petroleum during April 13-15, Al-Qattan noted that EQUATE’s support and sponsorship of such events is driven from its desire to ensure sustainable development through attracting the most qualified World Class workforce

Al-Qattan added that to reach this goal, EQUATE has implemented a number of steps to support career and professional development as outlined by EQUATE Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program which has already launched several initiatives in various sectors, such as health, education and environment.

Al-Qattan noted that in 2008 EQUATE and the Faculty of Engineering & Petroleum signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in academic, scientific and industrial affairs to launch a number of joint initiatives in these sectors.

Considered one of the world’s leading companies in producing Polyethylene and Ethylene Glycol, EQUATE was established in 1995 and it is presently a joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company, Boubyan Petrochemicals Company and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company. It commenced production in 1997 and currently provides markets in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe with high quality petrochemical products.
